Al-Kawthar University is committed to providing quality education and making it accessible to both meritorious as well as needy students through various financial support schemes. The information below is the current Financial Assistance & Scholarships Policy of the University. The University reserves the right to update / revise / change the below mentioned schemes at any time without notice.
1. Financial Assistance (Need-Based Financial Support) Or Qarz-e-Hasana
Al-Kawthar University shall provide Need Based Financial Assistance as a Qarz-e-Hasana to students from low-income families. Awardees shall have a moral obligation to repay after completing education, thereby helping future needy students.
Eligibility:
Complete Financial Profile of student's family shall be required as per Al-Kawthar University Need Based Financial Assistance Application Form.

Submit the Financial Assistance Form. Processing
Processing Time:
Minimum Six Weeks including interview & verification.
Confidentiality:
All information provided by the student shall be kept confidential; submission of false information shall lead to disqualification.
Note:
Qarz-e-Hasana may also be availed through Ihsan Trust Loan
2. Scholarships (Merit-Based)
a. First Semester:
Based on Admission Test Score University may announce Merit Based Fee Waivers on Tuition Fee as part of its efforts for encouraging meritorious students to apply for admission. Terms and conditions for such schemes shall be announced by the Admissions Office and may be revised from time to time by the University.
b. First Semester:
Based on Result of Intermediate Boards / CIE / IB or Equivalent 90% Fee Waiver on Tuition Fee shall be granted to top 3 positions in Intermediate Boards OR 4 A’s in A-levels or IB equivalent.
c. After First Semester:
Based on Semester GPA In semesters after the first semester, Merit Scholarship amount given to an individual student, among the top 5% of the students in each degree program, will depend on the performance of the respective student in the previous semester examination according to the SGPA obtained by the student. The Merit Scholarship amount awarded to an eligible student will be 90% of semester tuition fee if his/her SGPA is 4.0 and 0% if his/her SGPA is 3.0 (or lower). For SGPA values between 3.0 and 4.0, the merit scholarship amount will be linearly prorated between 0% and 90% of student's semester tuition fee.
Example: A student who is among top 5% of students and thus is eligible for the Merit Scholarship and his/her SGPA is 3.50 will get 45% of tuition fee as Merit Scholarship amount. In case his/her SGPA is 3.60, he/she will get 54% of tuition fee as Merit Scholarship amount.
